Description: A playable set of five hickory irons by various makers c.1910-28

Maker: Kenbar, A.G. Spalding & Bros., Brodie & Co., and R. Forgan & Son.

Year: c.1910-28

Shafts: Straight hickory shafts, firmly fitted to hosels. No visible signs of splits or cracks.

Lengths: Graduated length shafts, Mid Iron to Putter

Condition: Heads and shafts very good for age. Clear makers' stamp on reverse of heads, and 'punched' or lined face markings.

Other Details:

The Robert Forgan & Son, St. Andrews putter has the original shaft with makers stamp, and the Sports retailers mark of W.A. Woof, Cheltenham.

All the irons are fitted with new matching light tan suede grips.

3 Mid Iron - Kenbar. Length 38.25". Loft 25°. Swing weight B3-B4

5/6 Iron Mashie - Kenbar. Length 37.5". Loft 37°. Swing weight C7

7 Iron Mashie Niblick - A.G. Spalding & Bros., Length 37.25". Loft 45°. Swing weight D6-D7

8/9 Iron Niblick - Brodie & Co., Anstruther. Length 36.75". Loft 51°. Swing weight D5

Putter - R. Forgan & Son, St. Andrews. Smooth face blade putter. Length 35.5". Loft 4° Swing weight D1

 
Note: A matching pair of Kenbar woods (Driver and Brassie) are listed separately, and would complete a playable set.
