Shaft: Vintage straight stiff shaft, firmly fitted to hosel. No splits or cracks visible. Vintage 12" suede grip.

Condition: Good condition for age. Some small knocks and dents on the leading edge of sole from use
Other details: Retailed by Alfred Vardon (a younger brother of six times Open Champion Harry Vardon), with his oval name stamp on the reverse of the head. Alfred helped his brothers Harry and Tom in the design and construction of Worlebury Golf Club, which first opened in 1908 with nine holes, and a further nine being added the following year. Alfred must have impressed the members of Worlebury G.C. as he was asked to stay on as the club professional, a position he held until the late 1920s.
Line faced, with a thick heavy head and a wide 5/8" sole.
