A collection of three early rubber ball cleaners c.1920s-1940s - popular with golfers of this period, sponges were contained in a variety different style rubber cases which could be secured to the player's bag of clubs.

1. One J.B. Halley & Co. orange coloured ball cleaner. Contains two sponges underneath the rubber flap. The rubber casing is perished and brittle after prolonged outside use over many years, and therefore only useful as a display item to show early ball cleaning equipment. Approximate size 13cm x 6cm
2. Two green coloured rubber ball cleaners, each containing a piece of sponge.  No manufacturers mark visible but possibly by J.B. Halley, Avon or North British Rubber Companies. Both of the rubber casings have hardened after prolonged outside use over many years. Ideal as display items only to illustrate early ball cleaning equipment. Each cleaner approximate size 8cm x 4cm
