Maker: James Anderson, Anstruther, Scotland.

Shaft: Original, straight, hickory shaft. Thick calf-skin grip with under-listing.
Length: 36.75”
Condition: Very good for age. Shaft good with no visible splits or cracks. Original calf skin grip intact and firmly fitted, but 'moth-eaten' in places with the odd small hole.
Other details: A smooth faced straight blade putter, with the early (pre-1895) 1/2" Anderson stamp visible on the back of the head. Heavy overall weight of 1lb 2oz. Blade length 4". Hosel length 4.5". Blade thickness 3/8" width at the sole narrowing to 1/4" along the top of the blade.
